Bailey, 5yo male.

Bailey came in with Teddy (also 5yo male) and they get on great with each other. There hasn’t been a cross word between them and their play fights can get very loud and rowdy. We would like to rehome them together, but if we do split them they must go with another dog, they will not be rehomed as only dogs.

Bailey has a good recall when in the house and garden unless he thinks he’s going to have to do something he doesn’t like (e.g. having his Halti put on) and then he will just sit and look at you to see what the next move is. So far his only time off lead outside of boundaries resulted in him being chased by his foster carer to get him back, all shouts for him to come back were ignored. For this reason, he is being kept on lead on walks (his foster home is near sheep). He pulls somewhat on a normal lead but walks nicely on a Halti (he does however sometimes claw at it to get it off).

Bailey likes to be out in the garden exploring to see what he can find and smell. His favourite hobby so far is trying to unearth whatever he thinks is living under the shed. At some point he has seen something through the fence and so digging to try and get that back is another of his pastimes, regardless of time of day or weather. Chasing birds also looks likely to be a good game when he spots them in the garden.

Bailey comes across as a rather relaxed, laid back dog, who doesn’t react when grumped at by the resident bitch, and has now learned that the littlest dog isn’t a toy and should be left alone. He’s a big softy who likes a cuddle on the sofa but is also happy to have the sofa to himself. He travels well in a crate, likes his food, and settles well at night on the dining room sofa with Teddy for company.

Bailey is a fabulous dog and someone is going to be very lucky to have him. He will not be rehomed as an only dog.

Bailey is currently being fostered near Stirling in Scotland and you will be expected to travel to meet him.
