Bailey WCS & Benji ESS 8yrs old

Say hello to BAILEY Cocker (female) and BENJI Springer. They are about 8yo and came in together after their owner sadly passed away. They have been together since they were pups but are not bonded, so while it would be lovely to keep them together, we will consider splitting them to the right homes.

Both appear to be friendly with people and other dogs.

They are currently on foster with 6 resident dogs and we believe this is the first time they have lived in a 'pack' and as such are coping very well.

BAILEY has a tendency to be a bit bossy and has clashed a couple of times with the resident bitches (2yo & 13yo) so would be best suited to going with a laid back male who is happy to share his toys. She likes to get comfy in an armchair on her own, but also likes to settle at her humans' feet or cuddle up on the sofa. We would say no to younger children as Bailey can get a bit grumpy when she is touched at her back legs/tail area or needs her eyes wiped, although she is improving as she settles in and becomes more trusting. She is waiting for a visit to the groomers.

BENJI is very laid back and hasn't shown any interest in toys, but does like to run around and play fight with the resident 2yo. He enjoys going out for plodding walks and walks well on a halti. He is currently about 31kg and on a weight loss diet which must be continued until he reaches a healthier size, we are aiming for 25kg. Benji has recently been to the groomer and it is recommended to keep him clipped as his coat is very much 'sheepskin rug' when allowed to grow. He is being bathed appx every 10days with medicated shampoo but it is hoped this will stop when he gets to a healthier weight.

Bailey and Benji are currently being fostered near Stirling in Scotland but are frequent visitors to Northumberland NE65 area.
