Please note that Otto will only be rehomed in the north east of England so he can be neutered at an appropriate time by one of our vets. Any applications from outside of this area will be discarded.

Please also note that Otto will not be rehomed with unneutered dogs of either sex.

Temperament & Personality

General Personality: Typical 5 month old puppy, into everything, can be shy on first meeting people but that is being worked on in foster

Energy Level: High

Likes: Food, cuddles, toys

Dislikes / Fears: Meeting new people but getting better

 

Behaviour & Training

Recall: Needs training

Lead Walking: Okay, been used to an extendable leader but is walking well on a slip lead

Housetrained:  Almost there, the odd accident but will tell you if he needs to go out. If he pumps it’s time for a poo!

Crate Trained: Yes, very good in the crate

Can Be Left: For short periods

Travelling: Okay

 

Social Compatibility

With Other Dogs: Definitely, he loves to try and play with the resident dogs in foster

With Cats: Untested.  Suspect he will chase them but in a playful manner

With Children: Has previously lived with a young child so 3+

With Livestock: Untested

With Strangers: Shy at first, but soon comes round with a fuss or a treat

Exercise Needs: Will need a steady introduction of more walks as he gets older

 

Ideal Home

Home Type: One where his human is about a lot of the time while he’s still young and in training.  He’d love another active dog to play with

Experience: Experienced cocker spaniel owner

Family: Should be fine with children now he is out of the bitey phase

Other Pets: Should be okay as he is still young, but not tested

Living in West Yorkshire (Pontefract) - would this be considered too far away for future vet care. We would be prepared to travel back up for this.
